  • The article discusses the collaboration between by the governments of Japan and the U.S. to promote energy consumption and control carbon dioxide emissions in an attempt to combat climate change in their respective countries. It also discusses the cooperation between Japan and U.S. government and contribution of Japanese private sector companies such as Nissan, Panasonic, and Hitachi towards climate change. It mentions Japan's Cool Biz initiative and the regulation for recycling which encourages citizens to control emissions.
