    The article reflects the growing interest of new researchers the Political Economy of Communication on the analysis of football and whose cultural diffusion is due to the very Culture Industry. Given that the economic anal- ysis, or when playing sports industry, is studied, though not necessarily in greater depth by researchers in other theoretical axes, we realize that the analysis of the market arising from this cultural appropriation and is con- sistent with the theoretical and methodological objectives of epc. Thus, we analyze the existing on football as an object of study production, highlighting, in particular, what has been produced and the possibilities under the auspices of this theoretical perspective.

    O artigo reflete o interesse crescente de novos pesquisadores da Economia Política da Comunicação sobre a análise do futebol, bem cultural cuja difu- são se deve bastante à Indústria Cultural. Tendo em vista que a análise eco- nômica, ou quando a indústria toca o esporte, já é estudada, ainda que não necessariamente com maior profundidade, por pesquisadores de outros eixos teóricos, percebemos que a análise de mercado oriunda da apropria- ção deste bem cultural se coaduna com os objetivos teórico-metodológicos da epc. Desta forma, analisamos a produção existente sobre o futebol enquanto objeto de estudo, destacando, especialmente, o que já foi produzido e novas possibilidades sob a égide desta perspectiva teórica.
