Es objeto de estudio el funcionamiento de la actio retórica en el relato del historiador T. Livio sobre la entrada de los Galos en la ciudad de Roma, la masacre de los senadores y el intento de asalto al Capitolio. La artística narración de Livio traslada al lector al escenario de los hechos y lo convierte en espectador. �Decir bien�, como hace Tito Livio, equivale a �hacer ver�.

This study offers an analysis of how the rhetoric actio works in T. Livy�s account on the entry of the Gauls in the city of Rome, the slaughter of the senators and the former�s attempt to assault the Capitol. Livy�s artistic narrative takes the reader to the scene of action making him a spectator. Knowing how to say things, the way Titus Livy does, equals making the reader see.
