    En todas las épocas y en todas las lenguas los neologismos constituyen un problema esencial en el léxico. De un lado la lengua corre el riesgo de perder su identidad ante la afluencia de términos foráneos. De otro, la necesidad comunicativa se impone. Ante este dilema, las autoridades más notables del Renacimiento buscaron soluciones que adoptan los hombres de hoy.

    Regardless of the historical period or of the language under consideration,neologisms have always been a problem for the lexicon. On the one hand, a language may run the risk of losing its identity due to the influx of foreign terms. On the other hand, communicative needs make neologisms essential for the sake of conveying information.
