    El Mediterráneo constituye una región extraordinariamente complicada dada la gran cantidad de problemas y riesgos geopolíticos que la acosa. La respuesta a los mismos por parte de los Estados que conforman esta región y de la propia comunidad internacional no está siendo fácil ni tampoco eficaz.

    Por ello, hemos centrado este trabajo en los cuatro países principales de la ribera sur, Turquía, Egipto, Argelia y Marruecos que constituyen los países clave que van a definir las líneas maestras de la estabilidad mediterránea durante los próximos años. Con ello entendemos que la forma en que aborden sus propias contradicciones internas y según la contribución que hagan a la resolución de los problemas regionales, constituirá el marco fundamental de la estabilidad en una región que sigue siendo clave para la seguridad europea y española.

    The Mediterranean is an extraordinarily difficult region given the large number of problems and geopolitical risks that harasses it. The setting up of effective answers by the international community and the states that make up this region in order to address them are not becoming an easy or effective task. Therefore, looking to simplify the study we have focused this paper on the four main national states of the southern Mediterranean, meaning Turkey, Egypt, Algeria and Morocco that are key countries when outlining the Mediterranean stability for the coming years. Therefore we understand that the way they address their own internal contradictions and according to the contribution they make to the resolution of regional problems, will become the framework for the stability in a region that remains key to the Spanish and European security
