A literary criticism of the book "Do Economists Make Markets? On the Performativity of Economics," edited by Donald MacKenzie, Fabian Muniesa, and Lucia Siu, is presented. The article considers the relevance of business school fields in financial economics (FE) and management and talks about how the authors develop their performativity thesis. It examines cases on management technical devices and financial economic technical devices, and consider the competitive advantages of management over FE.
