Resumen de Un breve estudio sobre precios en una biblioteca nobiliaria del siglo XVII: las librerías de los Eguía y marquesado de Narros

Don Jerónimo de Eguía y Eguía, I marqués de Narros consiguió reunir una biblioteca de unos 2.500 títulos en las postrimerías del siglo XVII y comienzos del XVIII. Parte de esta biblioteca fue heredada de su padre don Jerónimo de Eguía y Grifo. En las dos fuentes documentales principales utilizadas en la investigación –los inventarios almoneda de ambas bibliotecas- aparecen expresadas las valoraciones económicas de las 303 obras que pasaron físicamente de una biblioteca a otra. Al conocer las tasaciones de este conjunto bibliográfico en ambas librerías, con un intervalo de 25 años, se ha podido realizar un estudio comparativo de las mismas, analizando cuáles fueron su plusvalía, revalorización y depreciación desde diversas perspectivas posibles. Añadimos un estudio sobre aquellos libros topográficamente impresos en España, y un breve reflejo de su cabida en el ámbito comercial de entonces.

Don Jeronimo Eguía y Eguia, 1ST Narros´s marquis managed to bring together a library of some 2.500 titles between the aftermath of the 17th century and the beginning of the 18th century. Part of this library was inherited from his father don Jeronimo de Eguía y Grifo. In the two documentary main sources used in this research (the inventory auction of both libraries) expresses economic increase in the 303 titles that came physically from one library to another. Knowing the ratings of this whole bibliographic set in both libraries, at an interval of 25 years, has enabled me to carry out a comparative study of them, by analyzing which were their added value, revaluation and depreciation from the various possible prospects. We added a brief study precisely on those books analyzed and were topographically printed in Spain and a brief reflection of its place in the commercial sector in those days.
