Resumen de Ética, migraciones y trabajo social

La ética se encuentra prácticamente fuera del debate actual que las ciencias sociales mantienen sobre las migraciones. Por ello, inspirados en la obra de Emmanuel Lévinas, proponemos erigir la ética como primera filosofía en las ciencias sociales con el linde humanizar el trato al inmigrante. El objetivo es delinear escuetamente el espacio que legítimamente le corresponde a la ética en las ciencias sociales, profundizando para ello en la ética de la alteridad de Lévinas y aproximándola al trabajo social en la intervención social con inmigrantes.

Ethics are placed virtually outside the current debate on migration in the social sciences. Therefore, inspired by Emmanuel Levinas' work, we aim to position ethics as a forefront philosophy in social sciences with the purpose of humanizing the treatment of immigrants. Our objective consists of carefully marking the space, which legitimately belongs to ethics in the social sciences, and doing so by emphasizing the role of Levinas' ethics of alterity, and approximating it towards social work in social interventions with immigrants.
