Resumen de El síndrome de Burnout en el profesorado de secundaria y su relación con el clima social de los centros educativos

  Este estudio analiza el nivel del Burnout del profesorado de Educación Secundaria y la influencia que el Clima Social de los centros tiene sobre el síndrome. Para medir el Burnout de los profesores y el Clima Social de los centros se elaboran y aplican dos cuestionarios a 794 docentes de la Comunidad de Madrid. Dentro del Clima Social se analizan las relaciones del profesor con superio- res, compañeros y alumnos. En el Burnout se mide Agotamiento Emocional, Despersonalización y Realización del profesorado para, a través de un análisis de Modelos de Ecuaciones Estructurales y un análisis Jerárquico Lineal, estudiar la influencia del Clima Social sobre el Burnout. Los resultados muestran cómo los factores del Clima Social inciden sobre las dimensiones del Burnout, concreta y significativamente las relaciones Profesor-Alumnos. Las relaciones Profesor-Compañeros influyen de forma moderada en la Despersonalización y el Agotamiento, mientras que las relaciones Profesor-Superiores muestran un efecto débil sobre la Despersonalización. Se ha encontrado, por tanto, evidencia del efecto que el Clima Social tiene sobre el Burnout en los profesores, identificando aquellos factores que resultan concluyentes en el desarrollo del síndrome, aportación que resulta de gran ayuda a la investigación aplicada orientada al tratamiento y prevención del Burnout

  This study analyzes the level of Burnout's syndrome of the teachers of Secondary Education and the influence that the Social Climate of the centers has on mentioned syndrome. To evaluate Burnout's level of the teachers and the Social Climate of the centers two questionnaires are elabo- rated and applied to a sample of 794 teachers of the Community of Madrid. Inside the Social Climate we analyze the relations of the teacher with superiors, other teachers and students. In Burnout there are measured the levels of Emotional exhaustion, Despersonalization and Low Achievement of the teachers. The influence of the Social Climate on the Burnout was analyzed using Structural Equations Models and a Hierarchical Linear Models. The results of the study show how the factors of the Social Climate have an effect on the dimensions of Burnout, concretely and in a determinant way the relations teacher-students. The relations between teacher and other teachers show a mode- rated influence in the Despersonalization and the Emotional exhaustion. The relations teacher-supe- riors show a weak effect on the Despersonalization. Evidence of the effect that the Social Climate has on the Burnout in the teachers has found, identifying those important factors in the development of the syndrome. This contribution is very useful for the applied investigation orientated to the treat- ment and prevention of the Burnout.
