Resumen de Scotinophara sicula (Costa, 1841) género y especie nuevos para la Península ibérica (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae, Podopinae)

  Se cita por primera en la Península Ibérica Scotinophara sicula (Costa, 1841) podopino de distribución mal conocida que se ha encontrado en la provincia de Cádiz. Se comentan las citas antiguas de las dos especies europeas del género Scotinophara Stål, 1868, considerando dudosas alguna de las citas de S. sicula y planteando la hipótesis de que Scotinophara subalpina Bergroth, 1893 sea un elemento extraño a la fauna europea.

  The shield-bug Scotinophara sicula (A. Costa, 1841) is recorded fort the first time in southern Spain in one locality of the Cadiz province. This is the first record of the genus Scotinophara Stål, 1868 in the Iberian Peninsula. The old records of the two European species of Scotinophara Stål, 1868 are discussed and some records of S. sicula are considered dubious. We hypothetize that the presence of Scotinophara subalpina Bergroth, 1893 in Italy may correspond to a true case of mislabelling and that the species may not belong to the European fauna
