In this paper different units and lexical groups associated with the theme of the in- sult, collected in the Spanish current NEA (Nordwest) region of Argentina, are classified and analyzed. From the point of view of semantical clarifications, it is realized what are the features of this particular type of social discourse, such as discrimination, offensive content, forms of subjection, etc. For the study described here there were 1,500 associative pieces of evidence in different high schools from Corrientes, Posadas and Resistencia, between 2008 and 2012. To answer the question of how do we insult, extralinguistic variables targeting the socio-economic level of the speakers, but that not refer to specific external elements, but rather expressive type speech acts were considered.
