Resumen de El escritor en la prensa: Luis Orrego Luco como editorialista de la Revista Selecta

Luis Orrego Luco, reconocido escritor chileno de las primeras décadas del siglo XX, como editor de la Revista Selecta (1909-1912) redacta para cada uno de los 48 números editados una editorial titulada "Hechos y Notas". En dichas páginas es posible advertir la presencia de un género híbrido que transita entre la columna de opinión y el artículo periodístico. El propósito de este trabajo es problematizar las características del discurso del escritor legitimado y la negociación que efectúa entre su voz personal y la voz institucional de la revista que representa. Analizando algunas columnas de su autoría, se intenta demostrar la hipótesis de que, valiéndose de su posición en el campo cultural, institucionaliza sus preocupaciones personales para transformarlas en una suerte de proyecto cultural para Chile en la víspera y los inicios del segundo centenario de vida republicana.

Luis Orrego Luco, recognized Chilean writer during the first decades of the 20th cen- tury, and editor of Selecta magazine (1909-1912) writes for each of the 48 published number an editorial entitled “Hechos y notas”. In these pages, it is possible to notice the presence of a hybrid genre that travels between the op-ed and the newspaper article. The purpose of this paper is discussing the speech characteristics entitled writer and negotiation that takes place between his personal voice and the institutional voice of the magazine that represents. Analyzing some of the columns of its authorship, attempts to prove the hypothesis that, using its position in the cultural field, institutionalized their personal concerns to transform them into a kind of cultural project for Chile on the eve and the beginning of the second centenary of Republican life.
