Definitivamente, y pese a todas las dificultades coyunturales y estructurales que atraviesa, son buenos tiempos para el periodismo. Las nuevas tecnologías han supuesto la mayor revolución industrial en el periodismo desde que se inventara la imprenta y ha dejado obsoleto el modus operandi tanto de las empresas como de los propios periodistas. Hoy, los periódicos con potentes rotativas las enseñan casi como piezas de museo, y difícil es verlas muchas horas en plena actividad.
¿Cómo tiene que formarse un periodista del siglo XXI? En mi opinión, como cualquier otro profesional: atendiendo a la raíz y calidad de la profesión, a la ética, al conocimiento de la técnica y de las reglas del juego, a todo aquello que ha ido cimentando el buen hacer, añadiendo el uso de la nueva tecnología.

: Definitely, and despite all the economic and structural difficulties, we enjoy good times for journalism. New technologies have imposed the greatest industrial revolution in journalism since the printing press was invented and has rendered obsolete the modus operandi of both companies and journalists themselves.
Today, newspapers with powerful rotary printing machines show them almost as museum pieces; moreover it is difficult to see them many hours at work. How should a journalist be educated in the XXIst century? In my opinion, like any other professional: Addressing the root and quality of the profession, ethics, having the knowledge of technique and the rules of the game, everything that has built up the good work, adding the use of the new technology.
