  • On passenger cars, motored and mass transit rail vehicles the increased speeds and the endevaour to decrease axle loads are putting forward new and higher demands on the brake equipment including simple handling on the parking brake.

    The author shows in his conference a complete line of brake units which can operate either block or disc brakes. These are singles and independents, they can be installed with slack adjuster incorporated or, so the installation need it separated too.

    The great advantage of these units is they can incorporate the various types of parking brake: mechanical, spring operated, "park-lock" and hydraulical. Also is possible stand out as very interesting thing, the ingenious and simple release quick mechanism on the parking brake.
