The author proposes the employment of a new type of post: based on the experience obtained through the use of the present "Vierendeel" post, comprising two "U" shape uprights joined by wide clamps, he puts forward a new design which is stronger, easier and cheaper to manufacture. The new post comprises two parallel uprights united by a circle of iron, bent into triangular form. It also simplifies the yoking devices.
