    FALLS DOWN THE VIAGRAS PATENT. GENERIC COMES IN JUNE The news about the end of Viagra's patent in Brasil received major headlines in almost every newspaper in the country. Since its appearance in the end of the 1990's, Viagra and its social repercussions have received great attention from the medias. At the same time, within the human sciences, the so-called "medicalization of sexuality" is among the concerns of several fields of study. This article proposes a reflection, centered in the brazilian context, on the usage of Viagra and its effects on subjectvity. Would the blue pill, now sold by accessible prices, have the power to change sexuality into a quiet sea, a cloudless sky, bringing the solution to the discontent and the misunderstanding that charactrize sexual affairs?

    CAI A PATENTE DO VIAGRA. GENÉRICO CHEGA EM JUNHO. Estampada em letras garrafais na primeira página do jornal local, a notícia parece ter a dimensão da queda do Muro de Berlim ou do fim da segunda guerra mundial. Desde seu surgimento no final da década de 1990, o Viagra e suas repercussões sociais têm recebido grande atenção da mídia. Paralelamente, no âmbito das ciências humanas, a dita "medicalização da sexualidade" tem sido objeto de preocupação de diversos campos de saber. Este trabalho propõe uma reflexão, centrada no contexto brasileiro, acerca do uso do Viagra e seus efeitos sobre a subjetividade. A pílula azul, agora comercializada a preços módicos, teria o poder de transformar o sexual num mar calmo, num céu sem nuvens, trazendo a solução para o mal-estar, o mal-entendido que o caracteriza?
