El presente artículo expone los principales problemas conductuales y emocionales en la infancia y la adolescencia. Se analizan brevemente los diferentes tipos, su frecuencia y los factores asociados a su aparición y mantenimiento. Además se analizan las principales manifestaciones de estas alteraciones tanto en el contexto escolar como familiar. Estas manifestaciones pueden considerarse como buenos indicadores para ser usados en su detección y cribado. Finalmente, se proponen algunas líneas fundamentales para su prevención en el ámbito escolar y familiar.
This study shows the main children´s and adolescents ‘emotional and behavioral problems. Types, rates of prevalence and main risk factors involved in the origin and maintenance of these problems are analyzed. Moreover, the main signs and symptoms in the family and school contexts are analyzed. The different symptoms could be considered as good indicators for the screening of these emotional problems. Finally, some essential ways to prevent the children´s emotional problems in the family and school contexts are proposed.This study presents the main types of child and adolescent emotional and behavioral problems. Their prevalence rates and the main risk factors involved in the origin and maintenance of such disorders are also considered. Their syptoms infamily and school contexts are also analyzed, and their value as screening indicators are taken into account. Finally, some basic prevention lines in both contexts are offered.
