Este artículo analiza un gesto melódico-armónico que se encuentra en la música de la tonalidad mayor-menor y en la del siglo XX, funcionando como cierre preparatorio a la exposición de temas o finales de movimientos u obras. Recurriendo a las modernas teorías sobre la metáfora musical, a teorías sobre el gesto musical, y algunas ideas de autores que se han basado en la semiótica peirceana, se presenta una hipótesis que explica por qué este gesto es efectivo como evento articulador de la forma, específicamente como cierre. Se analizan en primer lugar dos ejemplos de la música de Beethoven, a continuación se estudia conceptos como esquema-imagen, proyección metafórica, y algunos aspectos de teorías sobre semiótica musical, para finalmente ejemplificar con casos de Nielsen, Stravinski, Ginastera y Lutoslawski.

This article analyzes a melodical-harmonical gesture that it can be found in the music of mayor-minor tonality and in the music of the XXth century, working as a preparatory closure to the exposition of themes or conclusion of movements or works. Turning to modern theories of musical metaphor, theories of musical gestures and some ideas of authors that have been based in the Peircian semiotic, it presents a hypothesis that explains why this gesture is effective as an event articulator of the forms, specifically as a closure. It analyzes, in the first place, two examples of the music of Beethoven, next, it studies concepts as sketch-image, metaphoric projection and some aspects of theories about semiotic music, for, finally, exemplify with cases of Nielsen, Stravinski, Ginastera and Lutoslawski.
