Olivier Delsaux

  • Edition of an apocryph short story inserted by the French publisher Antoine Vérard in his edition of Laurent de Premierfait’s translation of Boccaccio’s Decameron (Paris, 1485) and that is substitued to the authentic sixth novel of the eighth Day. This short story stages the popular theme of a woman deceived by a lover who gives her an object of value in order to sleep with her and who manages to get back his gift by accusing her of keeping it as a pledge.
