  • Resumen
    • The meetings of Aeneas with Palinurus, Dido and Deiphobus in Hades are interpreted as occasions for a gradual exorcism of the past and as a form of purification for the Trojan hero. However evidently his action and his thought are turned to future, to foundation of the new town. Now he must see Anchises for knowing Rome’s future. The took would be belonged to Deiphobus, to whom that glory is denied, because this Priamus’ son and Hector’s brother brought undying dishonour upon himself, owing to the marriage with Helena.
