    Este trabajo constituye un avance de investigación que tiene el propósito de conocer a través de la información que proporciona la prensa escrita salteña los alcances de las huelgas generales del 22 de septiembre y 6 de diciembre de 1982, durante la dictadura militar, en la provincia de Salta.Una aproximación al estudio del nivel de organización del movimiento obrero, las formas de organización, lucha de la clase obrera y la represión desencadenada durante el período. Se tiene como proyecto, ante la escasez de investigaciones para la provincia, recuperar la trayectoria de la clase obrera para enriquecer su historia. Con el objetivo de producir un avance del conocimiento histórico sobre las huelgas generales y lucha de la clase obrera durante la última dictadura militar
