Los primeros repertorios bibliográficos modernos compilados en Europa están vinculados al brusco aumento de la producción editorial debido a la aparación de la imprenta y al interés filológico de los humanistas. Estos comienzos vienen marcados por la figura de Johannes Trithemius y, sobre todo, de Conrad Gessner, autor de una monumental labor bibliográfica iniciada con la publicación en 1545 de su Bibliotheca universalis. En los territorios de la corona de Bohemia la situación era completamente diferente, poque el movimiento humanístico no caló en profundidad debido al exacerbamiento de la cuestión religiosa desde la reforma husita y porque en general la cultura del libro se hallaba poco desarrollada en comparación con la de otros países. Por ello, los comienzos de la laborbibliográfica son mucho más modestos: se limitan generalmente a un listado de las fuentes bibliográficas empleadas para la elaboración de una obra. En este artículo nos detenemos en estas primeras manifestaciones de la labor bibliográfica checa, algunas de las cuales fueron pasadas por alto por Jiří Kabrt en su, por lo demás, minuciosa historia de la bibliografía en los territorios históricos de la corona de Bohemia.

The first modern bibliographical repertories compiled in Europe are linked to the abrupt increase in editorial production owing to the invention of the printing press and to the interest in philology shown by the humanists. The early stages were marked by the figure of Johannes Trithemius and above all, Conrad Gessner, author of a monumental bibliographical enterprise beginning in 1545 with the publication of his Bibliotheca universalis. In the territories of the Bohemian Crown, the situation was completely different, since the humanist movement had little impact owing to the exacerbation of the religious question following Hussite reform, and because in general the culture of books was underdeveloped in comparison with other countries. Consequently, the beginnings of bibliographical endeavour were much more modest, being limited in general to a list of bibliographical sources used for the composition of a work. This article is devoted to the first manifestations of Czech bibliographical activity, some of which were ignored by JiříKabrt in his otherwise meticulous history of the bibliography in the historical territories of the Bohemian Crown.
