    En la presente investigación analizamos el concepto de viaje del humanismo renacentista y su relación con las excursiones que realiza Francesco Petrarca al subir el monte Ventoso y recorrer la región de Bayas durante el siglo XIV. En primer lugar, examinamos las nociones de Humanismo y Renacimiento para la sociedad europea occidental. Posteriormente, estudiamos la percepción de viaje de Petrarca, dando cuenta de un viaje interior y espiritual, el cual establece un goce en el cuerpo y el alma.

    In this paper we analyze the travel concept of the Renaissance Humanism and its relationship with the excursions that performs Petrarch to Mont Ventoux and the region of Bayas during the fourteenth century. First, we examine the ideas of Humanism and Renaissance for the Western European society. Subsequently, we study the perception of travel by Petrarch as an inner and spiritual journey, which establishes an enjoyment in the body and soul.
