  • Analysis of the various presences of aperio in the satires of Juvenal. The verb often becomes a valid tool in order to emphasize the indignatio or to produce humoristic situations; in 9, 98 Juvenal creates a iunctura (aperire caput) which reveals itself to be a semantic innovation.
