  • Libraries spend a substantial portion of their budgets on subscriptions to serial publications, such as journals, newspapers, yearbooks, and other periodical literature. Serials vendors do not house the publication issues; they act as the intermediary between the library and the publisher on behalf of the library. The consolidation of orders with one vendor makes serials management easier because of the combined, streamlined efforts made by the vendor on the customer�s behalf with the publishers
