    En este artículo se analizan tres discursos originados en torno al auge extractivista de la seringa y el caucho amazónicos (c. 1900): el primero engrandece épicamente a los llamados "barones del caucho" como figuras "individuantes"; el segundo, elaborado por intelectuales del período, denuncia la opresión de los trabajadores del seringal y las poblaciones indígenas; el tercero corresponde al testimonio directo de estos últimos, así como a la rememoración mítica de sus comunidades

    In this article we analyze three kind of discourses raised around the boom of Amazonian syringe and rubber extraction (c. 1900): the first one epically enlarges the so-called "rubber lords" as "individuating" personalities; the second one, created by intellectuals of the period, denounces the oppression of the workers of the "seringal" and of the native inhabitants; the third one corresponds to direct testimonies of these subjects, as well as to the mythical memories of their communities
