Resumen de El barón de Mauá: entre el diseño del personaje y la construcción del mito

En este artículo nos proponemos recorrer los derroteros que la historiografía "mauasiana" persigue entre 1925 y 1944 en el Brasil. El itinerario nos llevará a través del estudio de tres autores -Alberto de Faria, Edgar de Castro Rebelo y Lídia Besouchet-, que representan el impulso pionero en relación a la construcción de la historiografía respecto del banquero riograndense. Allí se configuran los principales lineamientos de dicha historiografía -que va prefigurando el bagaje histórico con el que carga el personaje- a través de miradas heterogéneas; a la vez que se observa la profesionalización del discurso histórico. Dicho estudio permite determinar, al mismo tiempo, la evolución del género biográfico en el espacio rioplatense, señalando el matiz que cada historiografía nacional confiere a Mauá.

In this article we propose to cover the courses that the historiography "mauasiana" pursues between 1925 and 1944 in the Brazil. The itinerary will carry us through the study of three authors -Alberto de Faria, Edgar de Castro Rebelo and Lídia Besouchet-, that represent the pioneering impulse in relation to the construction of the historiography respect of the "riograndense" banker. Right there it form the main outlines of the mentioned historiography - that prefigures the historical baggage of the character - through heterogeneous positions; while it observes the professionalization of the historical discourse. Such study allows to determine, at the same time, the evolution of the biographical gender in the "rioplatense" region, indicating the nuance that every national historiography confers to Mauá
