    La discusión sobre la historia regional que se inicia en la década de 1980 en el ámbito de la historiografía argentina otorga una gran trascendencia a los alcances y posibilidades que se le atribuían a aquella desde una perspectiva que se presentaba como novedosa por oponerse a los estudios ceñidos a los límites provinciales. Sin embargo, antes de que se planteara esta cuestión en el campo historiográfico, se registraron posicionamientos y prácticas vinculados con la construcción de las regiones y los estudios regionales. En este sentido, las reflexiones de Ramón Tissera a comienzos de la década de 1970 resultan un aporte de interés en este esfuerzo por definir la región en la cual este autor se hallaba inserto. Por otro lado, el análisis de su producción revela la dificultad para definir el marco regional, así como la tardía conformación y las características particulares del campo historiográfico regional y su vinculación con el campo político.

    The discussion on the regional history that begins in the decade of 1980 in the field of the Argentine historiography grants a great transcendency to the scopes and possibilities that were assuming to that from a perspective that one was presenting like new for being opposed to the studies encircled to the provincial limits. Nevertheless, before this question was appearing in the field historiográfico, positionings and practices were registered linked by the construction of the regions and the regional studies. In this respect, Ramon Tissera's reflections at the beginning of the decade of 1970 turn out to be a contribution of interest in this effort to define the region in which this author was situated inserted. On the other hand, the analysis of his production reveals the difficulty to define the regional frame, as well as the late conformation and the particular characteristics of the field historiográfico regionally and his entail with the political field
