Reflexiones en torno a la construcción del objeto de estudio

    Las apreciaciones que giran en torno a la construcción de objetos de investigación son múltiples y variadas, ya que son reflejo de la composición de pensamientos diversos que corresponden a tendencias o perspectivas heterogéneas de aproximación al conocimiento, pero que a la vez, se les puede identificar una similitud entre las diversas formas de concebir al "objeto de estudio", así como las semejanzas en los abordajes por aprehenderlo. Por esta razón, el analizar las diferentes concepciones que se tienen sobre un fenómeno o hecho social, las maneras en que se establecen las conexiones entre los conceptos teóricos y las estrategias metodológicas para el entendimiento de éstos, constituye un paso importante en el alcance de la realidad, sabiendo de ésta no se presenta como una sola, única y verdadera, sino como múltiples realidades (aunque no por ello se tienda al caos), dependiendo desde la perspectiva teórica que se parta para su discernimiento. En este sentido, se presentan brevemente las concepciones que algunos investigadores han dejado por escrito sobre el tema en cuestión; de manera similar, se muestran tres entrevistas realizadas a profesores-investigadores con una larga y reconocida trayectoria tanto académica como de investigación en el área de educación y la comunicación, dejando por sentado la forma en que ellos construyeron un objeto de estudio y la manera cómo lo han abordado. Concluye el trabajo con una apreciación personal -en formación- en el acercamiento a los objetos de investigación que en el caso particular, lo forman las representaciones sociales de la ciencia en alumnos de pregrado.

    The interpretations which turn around the construction of objects of investigation are numerous and varied, since they are the reflection of the makeup of diverse thoughts which correspond to heterogeneous trends or perspectives to approach knowledge, but at the same time, a similarity among the diverse ways of conceiving the “object of study” can be identified, as well as the similarities in the manner to approach it. For such a reason, by analyzing the different conceptions concerning a phenomenon or social fact, the manners in which the connections are established among the theoretical concepts and the methodological strategies for their understanding, constitutes an important step in the scope of reality, knowing that it is not presented as being sole, unique and truthful, but as multiple realities (although it may not tend to chaos), according to the theoretical perspective used for its discernment. In this sense, conceptions of some researchers on this matter are briefly introduced; like wise three interviews made to instructor researchers with a long and recognized experience both in the academic world and research in the area of education and communication are shown here; making clear the manner in which they built an object of study and the manner how they approached it. The author concludes her paper with a personal 20interpretation –in training– in the manner to approach the objects of investigation, which in this particular case, are made up by the social representations of science in undergraduate students.
