    Los diastemas únicos o múltiples suelen representar un problema estético evidente, solicitando generalmente los pacientes su adecuada corrección estética. Para ello existen alternativas terapéuticas con técnicas directas con resina compuesta o técnicas indirectas con frentes laminados de porcelana adherida. La decisión se debe tomar según el problema específico a tratar, las características de la técnica y propiedades del material restaurador, y las peculiaridades del paciente.

    Single or multiple diastemas tend to represent an obvious esthetic problem, with patients usually asking for a proper esthetic correction. There are therapeutic alternatives to do this with direct techniques using resin compound or indirect techniques with laminated facings of adhered porcelain.

    The decision must be made in keeping with the specific problem to be treated, the characteristics of the technique and properties of the restoration material, as well as the patient’s particular characteristics.
