  En el momento actual disponemos de distintos materiales en Cirugía Maxilofacial, Cirugía Estética y Reparadora para el remodelado de los tejidos blandos faciales. Algunos de estos pueden ser de naturaleza biológica, no biológica, reabsorbibles, definitivos o de larga duración. La demanda de este tipo de sustancias inyectables para mitigar el paso de la edad es un hecho, lo que nos ha llevado a revisar los distintos materiales de relleno facial y sus complicaciones refiriendo un caso de un varón de treinta años que tras ser sometido a una cirugía ortognática para un avance maxilar mediante un Lefort de avance asociado a un posterior relleno de la zona malar y nasogeniana derecha con poliaquilamida, desarrolla un absceso hemifacial derecho, acompañado de dolor en la zona y un cuadro febril que le hace acudir al Servicio de Cirugía Oral y Maxilofacial del H.U Madrid-Montepríncipe.

  At the moment we have different materials in maxillofacial surgery, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery for the remodeling of facial soft tissue. Some of these may be biological in nature, not biological, absorbable, permanent or long-term. The demand for this type of injectable substances to ease the passage of the age is a fact, what has led us to revise the different cushioning material for soft tissue and its complications referring a case of a man thirty years after a Leford Forward and stuffing with maxilla poliaquilamida develops an hemifacial abscess on the right side, accompanied by pain in the area and a table feverish which makes it go to the department of maxillofacial surgery.
