    Se presenta la resolución de un caso clínico de una paciente que acudió a consulta con un absceso crónico asociado al diente 21 que presentaba una cirugía periapical convencional previa que estaba fracasando. El manejo del mismo fue mediante el empleo de los últimos materiales y técnicas empleados en cirugía endodóntica, y así, tras la revisión de este caso, se comprueba que este acto terapéutico, llevado a cabo mediante estos materiales y procedimientos, se convierte en un proceso más fácil y seguro y que permite al clínico obtener resultados más predecibles y exitosos.

    The resolution is presented of a clinical case of a patient that went to the consultation with a chronic abscess associated with tooth 21 that presented previous conventional periapical surgery that had failed. lts management was through the use of the la test materials and techniques used in endodontic surgery, and in this way, after the review of this case, it was verified that this therapeutic act, carried out by means of these materiaIs and procedures, became an easier and safer process that permitted the e/inician to obtain more predictable and successful results.
