    The article reflects on euthanasia and its consequences for which seeks to shorten the life of a patient known to be incurable. Film and Literature are equivalent here, being arts narratives that convey a story, and it is natural that the first has appropriated the second to boost its development. Through its own strategy, the two arts narratives met, making a discussion of the privilege of one over the other, which yields fruit until today. This practice can be seen in the Spanish film The Sea Inside, with theological reflections front the valuation of life issues, death, suffering and moral action. In the days of the time today is very rich, due to infinite horizons data by science and technology, which enable the creation and implementation of projects related to the protection and care of the reading of the death. But we know, at the same time that the pathway for degradation and even the establishment of a culture of death is also set. This is exactly why we cannot do without when we talk about death, to make a bioethical exercise and dialogue. Thus, theology, film and literature converge the light of the bioethical studies.

    O artigo faz uma reflexão sobre a eutanásia e suas consequências pelas quais se busca abreviar a vida de um doente reconhecidamente incurável. Cinema e Literatura se equiparam aqui, por serem artes narrativas que transmitem uma história, e é natural que o primeiro tenha se apropriado do segundo para impulsionar seu desenvolvimento. Por meio de uma estratégia própria, as duas artes narrativas se encontraram, fazendo uma discussão sobre o privilégio de uma sobre a outra, que rende frutos até os dias atuais. Esta prática pode ser analisada no filme espanhol Mar adentro, com reflexões teológicas frente as questões de valoração da vida, morte, sofrimento e ação moral. Nos dias de hoje o momento é muito rico, em função de infinitos horizontes dados pela ciência e pela tecnologia, que possibilitam a criação e a realização de projetos relacionados à proteção e ao cuidado com a leitura da morte. Mas sabemos, ao mesmo tempo, que o caminho para a degradação e até para o estabelecimento de uma cultura de morte também está posto. É exatamente por isso que não podemos dispensar, quando falamos de morte, de fazer um exercício bioético e um diálogo religioso. Assim, teologia, cinema e literatura se confluem à luz dos estudos bioéticos.
