The aim of this is paper is address the issue of religion in Franz Kafka from the analysis made by the theologian Karl-Josef Kuschel in his theological and literary portrait of the Prague Circle Jew not limited to a narrow reading to Judaism, but involve interpretations that the approach of Christian hope, in a letter to Robert Klopstok, his friend of later years, in describing the character he calls “the other Abraham.”

Abordar a temática da religião em Franz Kafka a partir da análise feita pelo teólogo Karl-Josef Kuschel em seu retrato teológico-literário do judeu do círculo de Praga sem limitar a uma leitura restrita ao judaísmo, mas envolvem interpretações que o aproximam da esperança cristã, em carta à Robert Klopstok, seu amigo dos últimos anos de vida, em que descreve o personagem que chama de “outro Abraão”.
