    La investigación tuvo por objetivo mostrar la relación que existe entre la generación-disponibilidad-efecto que estos residuos provocan al medio ambiente. Esto se lleva a cabo considerando la mayor cantidad de información disponible sobre diversos aspectos técnicos, legales, económicos, sociales y ambientales que pudieran tener estos residuos para la industria del tablero en Cuba. Para la evaluación del impacto ambiental se desarrolló según el método matricial causa-efecto, para obtener una descripción cualitativa de las interacciones entre los aspectos ambientales y los factores ambientales del entorno, en términos de la magnitud y la importancia del impacto. Se emplearon encuestas para la valoración de los residuos plásticos. Como resultado se obtuvo que los 10 aserraderos existentes en la provincia constituyen una fuente importante de generación de residuos sin utilización industrial, lo cual permite clasificarlo en la escala 3, de alto impacto ambiental. Los residuos plásticos, su alto impacto al medio ambiente está asociado a la baja biodegradación de estos compuestos al estar expuestos al medio, condicionando la aparición de enfermedades de riesgo para la salud humana. Sin embargo, estos residuos dada su compatibilidad pueden formar parte como materia prima para la industria del tablero en Cuba, donde se puede estimar que según sus disponibilidad se pueden producir aproximadamente más de 4 000 m3 de tableros de muy buena calidad y de propiedades excepcionales.

    The investigation you development with the objective of evaluating the damages that can cause the residuals of the industry of the sawmill in the process of transformation of the wood, as well as the plastic residuals for the environment, the carried out tasks facilitated to quantify these residuals in the county of Pinar del Río. The work you development by means of the calculation of the potentialities of forest residuals (sawdust) existent, in the mark of their possible use for the production of boards. Surveys were also used for the valuation of the plastic residuals generated so much by the residential sector as the state sector. As a result it was obtained that in the county 10 sawmills located in near places to communities exist, impacting negatively in the health from their inhabitants when causing him breathing illnesses, besides the rising damages caused to the environment, being these danger of fires, the calculations of the potentialities of sawdust threw a total of 8,2 annual Mm3 for each sawed wooden m3, and on the other hand the plastic residuals were classified and quantified according to their type. It was also demonstrated the compatibility of these matters cousins for the plastic, given elaboration of wood plastic boards.
