Resumen de Tecnologías de manejo sostenible de suelos introducidas en el polígono `El Sitio'

  El estudio se realizó, con el objetivo de introducir un sistema de medidas de manejo sostenible de suelo tendentes a mejorar y conservar la productividad de éstos suelos que se ubican en agrosistemas frágiles, sometidos a un mal manejo durante muchos años y como consecuencia se han degradado debido a la erosión, compactación y acidificación entre otras formas observadas en zonas de la llanura sur de Pinar del Río. Se seleccionó un área de estudio demostrativa (Polígono) donde se introdujo un sistema de tecnologías que abarcó un total de 4,2 hectáreas, donde se cultivó tabaco, frutales, maíz, semilleros y un área de producción de abono orgánico. Se evaluó la influencia del sistema de tecnologías de manejo sostenible de suelo sobre la producción agrícola. Como impactos fundamentales se logró minimizar los procesos de degradación, en solo un año se mejoraron algunas propiedades del suelo incrementando su fertilidad y la biodiversidad del agroecosistema, con incrementos en la producción de tabaco, frutales y flores que favorecieron la rentabilidad y disminución en los costos de producción.

  The study was carried out, with the objective of knowing the impact of a system of measures of sustainable handling of soil tendency to improve and to conserve the productivity of these soils that are located in a fragile agrosystem, subjected to a wrong handling during many years and their consequence they have demeaned due to the erosion, soil compac and acidification among other forms observed in areas of the south plain of Pinar del Rio. A demonstrative study area was selected (Polygon) where a system of technologies was introduced that embraced a total of 4,2 hectares, where tobacco was cultivated, fruit-bearing, corn, nurseries and an area of production of organic manure. The influence of the system of technologies of sustainable handling of soil was evaluated on the agricultural production. As fundamental impacts it was possible to minimize the degradation processes, in alone one year they improved some properties of the soil increasing their fertility and the biodiversity of the agroecosystem, with increments in the production of tobacco, fruit-bearing and flowers that favoured the profitability and decrease in the production costs.
