  • Resumen
    • What makes the South African fluorspar exploration company different is its access to a number of significant fluorspar deposits and its approach to downstream beneficiation, Alan Smith, SepFluor CEO, said at this October's Fluorspar 2012 conference in Vancouver, Canada.

SepFluor's Nokeng mining project, the closest to production, will have its own concentrator and will supply CAF 2 primarily as feedstock for the company's planned fluorochemical plant - currently in the early stages of construction - for the production of hydrogen fluoride (HF), aluminium tri-fluoride (AlF 3 ) and anhydrite (CaSO 4 ).

The Nokeng mine will supply around 130,000 tpa of its anticipated 185,000 tpa CAF 2 production to Sepfluor's downstream beneficiation plant at an existing industrial estate called Ekandustria, some 50km from the mine.
