  • Resumen
    • Etablissements Gallois, a flake graphite miner and Madagascar's only commercial producer according to IM's Global Graphite Report 2012, operates two sites in Toamasina, on Madagascar's northeast coast, with three mines on each site serving one processing plant.

The Molo deposit, which the company believes to host up to 100m tonnes of flake graphite, is located in the company's Green Giant graphite project, and is part of the joint venture property with Malagasy Minerals Ltd in Madagascar, in which Energizer has a 75% ownership interest.

NGC's large flake graphite samples achieved spherical graphite yields of up to 70%, the company said. This is compared to yields of around 30% typically obtained from -100 mesh small flake material from China, the most common source of non-synthetic spherical graphite.
