  • Bar magnets overlaid on a drawn molecule and projected using an overhead effectively illustrates the approach of a nucleophile on an electrophilic center and subsequent loss of a leaving group. This practical demonstration facilitates the understanding of electron flow (mechanism) of a reaction.
