    Transcurridos casi 20 años desde la famosa sentencia “Bosman”, que cual imponente Moby Dick zarandeó al barco del Deporte Rey y cuyos coletazos se siguen sintiendo aún hoy, nos encontramos con un interesante laudo del Tribunal Arbitral del Deporte (TAS), como nuevo (y difícilmente último) episodio de la saga deportiva más conocida de la última década: el “Chelsea vs. Mutu”. En el asunto objeto de estudio del presente artículo el TAS realiza un exhaustivo análisis (recordatorio) del necesario equilibrio entre la gobernanza justa y eficaz de las competiciones FIFA y el Derecho de la Unión Europea, como garante de las libertades fundamentales de los miembros de la Comunidad Europea.

    After almost 20 years since the famous 'Bosman' ruling that imposing which shook the ship Moby Dick King Sports and whose aftershocks are still being felt even today, we find an interesting decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) as new (and hardly last) episode of the most popular sports franchise in the last decade: the "Chelsea vs. Mutu ". In the case under this Article the study performs a comprehensive analysis TAS (reminder) of the necessary balance between the fair and effective governance of FIFA competitions and European Union law, as guarantor of fundamental freedoms of members of the European Community.
