This article shows an analysis of the characters of the witch/ stepmothers from Snow White and The sleeping beauty as they are presented in the TV show Once upon a time and the film Maleficent. Regarding their common resources, we have tried to establish a method to make an analysis of the new view that is being operated over the traditional fairytales in the film, television, comic book and literature areas
