    En octubre de 1962 se celebró en Washington el Primer Congreso Interamericano sobre Archivos (PRIA). Con motivo de cumplirse ahora cincuenta años, se recuerda en este estudio aquella reunión, que tanta trascendencia tuvo para los archivos iberoamericanos, con los temas que allí se trataron y las resoluciones que allí se aprobaron y como colofón la Declaración de Principios de la Primera Reunión Interamericana sobre Archivos.

    In October 1962 held in Washington the First American Congress on Archives (PRIA). With world celebrates fifty years now, is remembered in this study that meeting, which had such importance for Latin American files with the issues that were discussed there and the resolutions passed therein and to round off the Declaration of Principles of the First Meeting Inter-American Archives
