Resumen de Go-to's: Pedagogical knowledge

Ken Wester

  • A couple of months ago, I wrote a column that included my “go-to's” when I needed to beef up my content knowledge of a particular physics topic. This month, I turn the focus to the times when you know the material you want to teach, but you cannot figure out the best way to deliver the content to your students. When I encounter this problem, I have a few places that I know will provide great resources to help me. Often, the best source is a seasoned teacher that you know and respect. What if you don't know anyone who can help? What if it's too late to make a phone call? What if you want to figure it out for yourself? Below is a short list of the places that I recommend you use to answer the question, “What is the best method to teach _____?”
