    Tras la publicación de Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (Seth Grahame-Smith, 2009), surge un nuevo movimiento literario basado en la reescritura de los clásicos a partir de la inclusión de zombis en las tramas. En este sentido, el primer remake de una obra clásica de la literatura española fue El Lazarillo Z. Matar zombis nunca fue pan comido. Esta irónica y humorística novela revisa el texto original y con ello la literatura española y la propia historia de España. En este artículo, en primer lugar quiero reflexionar sobre el remake y las nuevas posibilidades de esta nueva corriente de escritura. Después, estudio la importancia de estas nuevas novelas en la escena literaria contemporánea y analizo sus posibilidades transformadoras, deconstructivas y saboteadoras. Para ello, focalizo el análisis en el remake del Lazarillo de Tormes.

    After the publication of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (Seth Grahame-Smith, 2009) a new literary movement appeared based on the rewriting of the classic novels with the inclusion of zombies in their storylines. In this regard, the first remake of a Hispanic classical novel was El Lazarillo Z. Matar zombis nunca fue pan comido. This ironic and humorous novel reviewed the original text, as well as Spanish literature and Spanish history. In this article, I focus on the remake of Lazarillo de Tormes to reflect, in the first place, on the fresh writing movement of the remake and its possibilities. Afterwards, I analyze the importance of these new novels in the contemporary literary scene and their potential to transform, sabotage, and deconstruct.
