  • Resumen
    • * All prescription nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) increase the risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events and possible death.

      * Cardiovascular risk exists for all patients taking NSAIDS, but complications are more likely in those with cardiac risk factors.

      * Although some research indicates a higher risk from using NSAIDs for a longer period of time, some observational studies showed that risk might increase after just several days of use.

      * The labeling of over-the-counter NSAIDs will also be revised to reflect the Food and Drug Administration's conclusions.
