  • Engineering business Weir Group has drastically cut the number of firms on its roster of advisers, launching its first formal panels at the start of this year.

    It has created a European and global panel following competitive tenders. Both panels are made up of just two firms.

    Burness Paul and CMS Cameron McKenna will advise Weir's European and UK businesses, while Baker & McKenzie and Herbert Smith Freehills (HSF) will advise Weir on a global basis.
