O turismo militar e a ativação turística do património: conceitos, perspetivas e tendência

    There has been publicly verified in the international sphere both at the academic level as in the business sector, and well as in Governmental agendas of several countries, the allocation of a greater notoriety to issues related to the possible relationship between tourism and heritage. This phenomenon appears to reveal a growing interest in studying and validating at different levels the possibilities and limitations of this bond. Thus, this bon can be boosted it sustainable and efficient ways, both at economic and social levels, for the benefit of the communities, associations, organizations and regions. In this way it is shown the pertinence of understanding and classifying this relationship both from the tourism’s and the heritage’s point of view. This study discusses the emergence and affirmation of new tourism products, developed and operationalized on the basis of the application of material and immaterial heritage. By conducting a case study, emphasis has been specifically put on the military tourism. For this reason, issues related to the proposed theme will be theoretically and in-depth analysed, focusing on the touristic activation of heritage and on the effects that may arise from this activation to the national tourism strategy

    | Tem-se verificado publicamente no panorama internacional, tanto ao nível académico como no setor empresarial, assim como nas agendas governamentais de diferentes países, a atribuição de uma maior notoriedade a questões relacionadas com a possível articulação entre o turismo e o património. Este fenómeno revela, de forma aparente, o interesse em aprofundar e validar transversalmente as possibilidades e limites desta relação, potenciando-a, de forma sustentável, económica e social eficiente, para benefício das comunidades, das organizações e dos territórios.Assim,verifica-se como pertinente compreender e classificar o nível desta relação, quer pelo lado do setor do turismo, quer pelo lado do setor do património. Neste estudo, discute-se a emergência e a afirmação de novos produtos turísticos desenvolvidos e operacionalizados com base na aplicação do património material e imaterial, destacando,como estudo de caso, o turismo militar. Para tal, serão teoricamente aprofundadas questões relativas ao tema proposto,com enfoque no caso da ativação turística do património, e quais as suas implicações na estratégia turística nacional
