  • Resumen
    • A recreational and straightforward seasonal classroom task focused on Halloween is presented in this article as an example of how teachers can develop key competences in high school students. In addition, the activity is used to identify popular science topics for students. Results show that biology and chemistry topics are very positively valued by students. Nature and living things, the cell and the human body in biology, and the periodic table, chemical formulas and atoms in chemistry are the highest rated topics by Spanish students aged 12-17.
