El artículo presenta la propuesta de una reforma política del estado polaco-lituano a finales del siglo XVI, hecha por Łukasz Górnicki en su tractado Droga do zupełnej wolności. Górnicki, como muchos otros escritores en Polonia y en Europa, sigue el ejemplo de Venecia que considera el ideal de una república ordenada bien. Su análisis de los problemas de Rzeczpospolita, así como las soluciones que ofrece, son una de las más interesantes expresiones del pensamiento político polaco del Renacimiento.

Artykuł przedstawia propozycję reformy politycznej państwa polsko-litewskiego u schyłku XVI wieku, wysuniętą przez Łukasza Górnickiego w traktacie Droga do zupełnej wolności. Górnicki – podobnie jak wielu innych pisarzy w Polsce i w Europie - wzoruje się na Wenecji, którą uważa za ideał dobrze ustanowionej republiki. Jego analiza problemów Rzeczpospolitej oraz proponowane rozwiązania są jednym z najciekawszych wyrazów polskiej myśli politycznej Renesansu.

The article presents the proposal of a political reform of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at the end of the XVIth century, made by Łukasz Górnicki in his treatise Droga do zupełnej wolności. Górnicki – like many other writers in Poland and in Europe – follows the example of Venice, which he considers the ideal of a well-ordered republic. The analysis of problems of Rzeczpospolita as well as the solutions he offers, are one of the most interesting expressions of the Polish political thought in the Renaissance.
