Resumen de El divorcio en Nuevo León: tendencias actuales

En este trabajo se presentan algunos datos sociodemográficos relacionados con el divorcio en el Estado de Nuevo León, México. Los datos provienen tanto de fuentes del Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía como de los resultados de dos investigaciones conducidas por el autor en el año 2010. El documento presenta, por un lado, las tendencias de las tasas de divorcialidad durante las últimas seis décadas y la evolución de la relación de divorcios por cada 100 matrimonios durante los últimos diez años y por otro lado algunos de los principales factores tanto estructurales como interpersonales asociados con el fenómeno, así como los motivos que aluden los actores sociales en relación con la decisión de haberse divorciado.

In this paper we present some demographic data related to divorce in the Mexican state of Nuevo León. The data comes from three sources: the Instituto Nacional de Estadística y Geografía and the results of two surveys about family and divorce conducted by the author of this paper in 2010. This work presents, firstly, the general trends in the rates of divortiality during the past six decades and the evolution of the ratio of divorces per 100 marriages over the past ten years. On the other hand the paper presents some of the main factors, both structural and interpersonal, related with the phenomenon as well as the reasons referred by individuals in relation with their decision of get divorced.
